2007-W Burnished Platinum Eagle Mintage Figures
Back to the ongoing recap of the most recently published sales figures for some the Mint's 2007 and 2008 precious metals products.
Today I will take a look at the figures for the 2007-W Burnished Platinum Eagles. These are the special collectible versions of the bullion coins that are offered directly from the Mint. They are struck on specially burnished blanks and carry the "W" mint mark. The "Burnished Eagles" generally have lower mintages than their bullion counterparts.
The table below contains the most recently published sales figures from Mint Stats of April 17, 2008. At the time of writing this post, the 1 ounce and 1/10 ounce coins are actually back on sale at the Mint. The other options appear to be sold out.

For comparison purposes, here are some unofficial "final" mintage numbers for the 2006-W Burnished Platinum Eagles.

Last year's shockingly low mintage figures attracted a lot of attention and resulted in an immediate increase in prices on the secondary market. Are the 2007 figures low enough to warrant a similar price increase? The 1/2 ounce and 1/4 ounce versions look to have the most potential.
